Netherlands Automatic Spray-Painting Line – Custom Air Handling Unit

Project Overview

A Netherlands manufacturer of automatic spray-painting systems needed HVAC for a new automated paint production line designed to overcome skilled-labor shortages. Because the line uses waterborne and solvent-based paint, precise humidity and temperature control in the painting and drying booths was essential — so Holtop supplied a customized air handling unit built to fit the client's exact requirements.

The Custom AHU Solution

After confirming airflow, relative humidity, moisture load and temperature targets, Holtop selected the appropriate AHU functions and built a custom control system around the client's drying process. The unit supplies 7,000 m³/h of fresh air, extracts 15 kg of moisture per hour, and raises temperature to 55°C to accelerate drying — keeping paintwork in perfect condition, neither too dry nor too wet.
